Exchange Policy

Overview

Thank you for your purchase from BECAUSE ŌF BEAR. We strive to provide you with the best shopping experience possible. In the event that you need to make an exchange, please review our exchange policy and follow the instructions for a smooth exchange process. All items are final sale but may be eligible for an exchange.

Exchanges

Eligibility: We accept exchanges within 30 days from the date of purchase. To be eligible for exchange, the item must be unused, in ints original packaging and in the same condition as when you received it. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you an item in exchange.

Exchange authorization: To initiate an exchange, please contact our customer support team at admin@becauseofbear.com and provide the following information:

  • receipt or proof of purchase,
  • reason for exchange and
  • desired placement item (replacement item must be of equal value).

Our support team will guide you through the exchange process and will provide you with an exchange authorization. You can expect to receive your exchange authorization within 1-5 business days. Please wait for the exchange authorization before proceeding within the exchange shipment. Safely package the item you are exchanging, ideally using the original packaging.

The time it takes for the exchange shipment to reach us will depend on the shipping method you choose and your location. Please consider the transit time mentioned by your selected shipping service.

Inspection and exchange: Once we receive your item, our team will inspect it to verify its eligibility for an exchange. This inspection process typically takes 2-3 business days. After the inspection, we will notify you via email regarding the status of your exchange. If approved, then your exchange will be issued within seven days if the item is in stock. If the desired exchange item is out of stock, we will notify you of the expected shipping date. If your exchange is not approved, your item will be returned to you.

Exchange Shipping: You are responsible for the shipping costs associated with exchanging an item. We suggest using a traceable and insured shipping service to ensure the safe delivery of the package. Please retain the shipping receipt and tracking information for your records.

Processing Timelines: Please keep in mind that these processing timelines are estimates, and we will make every effort to process exchanges promptly. If there are any delays or issues with your exchange, our customer support team will keep you informed and assist you throughout the process.

Sale items

Only regular priced items may be exchanged. Sale items are final sale.

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

Shipping returns

To return your product, you should mail your product to: {physical address}.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for exchanging your item.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
